Problems with carb?

    I've had some problems with the car not running right for quite a while, and I've been trying to have a go at it from different angles. Something I noticed today is that when floor it, the car dies, I take my foot off, and we're back in business. I floor it again, and the same thing happens, then the next time maybe it goes. This is not always, but for most of the time something like this happens. I bought the "Doug Roe Rochester carburetors book so I could understand what people were saying at this forum, so if someone has any suggestion, please let me know. If you have the book too, please refer to an image o page number so I can see or read what we're talking about.
     
  2. Look these things up in this order; accelerator pump, float level, float wieght and fuel delivery/fuel pump/fuel pressure.

    :Smarty: check this stuff and you'll fix the problem I think.

    As suggested in previous posts, I also suggest checking the power piston. They are notorious for sticking in these carbs. Ray
