I've been onthe board for a few months and thought I would post some pics of my 70 skylark Convertible restoration progress. Bought the car last May off the original owners in Hawthorne NY. 70 Custom convertible with AC PDB PS Power Seat PW 350 4bbl Factory Dual exhaust Posi Rear Sport steering wheel Factory 14x6 rallye rims Rear Defroster.Car came with full documentation incl window sticker protecto plate etc. Car was repainted in the early 90's and needed to be redone. I am cloning into a GS. Car had excellent floors rocker panels fenders and doors. I had the metal shop remove the nose and repair the core support (which was shot). Only slight rust in the lower part of the cowl on the drivers side(car was always garaged). I put 2 new 1/4 panels on and installed a 7 piece trunk kit. I also installed new body bushings at this time. Thanks to this board I was able to buy/locate all the GS specific parst I needed. The stock 350/350 will remain till I can do the whole drivetrain over. Car is in the paint shop now. Thanks Glenn.

Nice work, what type of primer are you using? Spray can? or Spray Gun? I want to temporarily primer my Rivi.

I hope the body shop is using a spray gun. There sure charging me enough.

Looks good, I'm trying to at least get mine in primer for my Prom in May, almost here. Nice car, It makes want to get one too. I'm now tempted by a 71 Skylark all original in pretty good shape for $2000 obo. it has a 350, but I would swap in a 455 and maybe create a gsx. Well keep us posted!
