I see a lot of the F.A.S.T cars there. Was this a mixed event?

No FAST cars were there. Some of them run like FAST cars, though. :)

Nope... this was definitely a PSMCDR event, but you are probably referring to some ex-F.A.S.T. cars that were in attendance. (re-tuned/set up for the PSMCDR series)

John Brown On permanant vacation !!

Julie Pennington drives her own Pure Stock car and her husband Terry has an orange Corvette that looks identical that runs in FAST class. He used to swap engines back and forth so they could run pure stock or FAST, but that got to be too complicated so they bought a second car. Where it really gets confusing is when one driver drives both a FAST car and a pure stock car. Tom Cannon and Scott Tieman are just a couple of examples.

Some of the cars have the sticker in the rear window for the 11/12/13 second club from when they run the factory stock class at the FAST races. The sticker looks the same but says "factory stock" instead of "FAST".

I see. Only reason I asked is cause I thought I saw Eddie Cook Sr. and Jr's cars in the pics. Plus was that the silver copo Nova that "J.J." from Canada owns (or owned)?

Ed Cook has cars that he has set up to run in FAST and others to run in PSMCDR. I'm sure he was there spectating like I was.

And yeah, Jimmy Johnson sold his silver 396 Nova a couple years ago, IIRC. Some other guy has been racing it for a while now. Sweet car.

The silver small block copo Nova is owned by Pete Simpson and was driven by his son this weekend.

The silver L78 Nova used to be owned by Jimmy Johnston of Ontario, Canada, but was sold a couple of years ago. The current owner had the car there this weekend.

None of Ed Cook's cars were there.

The silver 396 car belongs to Tony Ragla(sp)?

wow great photos. hope to make it to one of these someday.
any chance FAST cars will/could be invited? I love the large car count which would interest me tremendously.
I have another 69 camaro beside the one i just completed for FAST but seeing it took me 5 years for that the "stock" ss396/375 will take a decade!

He wrote that on Thurs the 15th, which explains the pics from years past. I was a little confused at first as I didn't think Wayne's cobra jet was there and I know Rich C wasn't running steelies on that puuuuurty AMX this year. But the guys from Hemmings were there and I'm sure we'll see coverage in a future edition, which is always good news.

And, I do know we have a future celebrity in the mix. He will be appearing in a future Hemmings Muscle Machines. :Brow:

btw Donny, 13.07? daaayyum. Nice job!!! You and Rusty have any shootouts?
