I went to Pumkinfest today and was pleasantly surprised by the number of Buicks in attendance. There were two (yes, two!) '70 GS Stage 1 4-speed convertibles, a '70 Skylark convertible converted to a 4-speed, a '72 GS 350 converted to a big-block 4-speed, another '70 convertible, a '69 Skylark, a '68 GS 350 4-speed, a pair of '65 Skylarks, and I'm sure there were others that I have not mentioned.
The best part of the show (aside from the great cars), was meeting a fellow board member. I can't remember his user name, and I don't feel comfortable using his real name over the internet. Anyway, he owns a sweet '72 Cortez Gold GS 350 that he totally restored over the winter. The car is absolutely beautiful. We chatted for a long time about Buicks, and we were soon on a first name basis. He made the show much more memorable.
I'm sorry that I can't provide pictures, but the Buick turnout at this event was stunning.

    Peace,
