Pump to Carb fuel line

In my 81 Grand Prix, I’m swapping in a Buick 350 in place of the 231 Buick V6. I’d hoped to use the V6 hard fuel line (pump to carb) but it’s not working out.. it appears to have been hand-bent & isn’t fitting properly, plus it’s kinked at one bend. So, I need to replace it.

It’s all stock… the factory Quadrajet with the fuel fitting in front, & factory fuel pump, so a factory line should fit. Here’s two online:

I used that one from Inline Tubes on my '71, worked fine for me!

 

Years ago I bought a new line from inline and someone else, neither fit.
Do as Larry suggested.

 

Only reason is, I like the stock look. That might seem trivial but the whole motor is stock, and stock-appearing.

 

I ordered the Inline Tube line. It's only $30ish with shipping, so not too expensive to take a chance on. Once received, I'll post back about fit.

Any update on the fitment? I’m finally close to needing one as well, because the one I bought a couple years ago from a member here (seller couldn’t remember if it was from Inline Tube or Parts Place) isn’t remotely close to fitting.

 

Good timing - today was 'install' day. The issue is that it's made to fit around an early, non-HEI distributor. It doesn't fit around the HEI distributor. I spent over an hour trying to rebend it & make it work and couldn't do it. If you have good bending tools & lots of patience, you might be able to get it to work. I ended up reusing the line from my 231 V6 (and that took some effort too because I bent it during removal).

For reference:

The Inline Tube line comes straight out of the carb, bends towards the driver side and snakes around the base of a non-HEI distributor. It then goes straight down and u-turns up to the fuel pump fitting.

The V6 line comes straight out of the carb, bends toward the passenger side, then down and underneath the base of the distributor, then bends straight down and u-turns up to the fuel pump.

I'll try & remember to take some pictures tomorrow.

 

I had no luck either with Inline and whatever other brand I tried.
