Congrats to Tom Artes for a 5 page spread in the May 2006 issue..... 'Fastest Ford at the Pure Stock Drags' screams the byline of the feature on Tom's '69 428 Mach 1 also a great Dyno comparison of the Pontiac 455 HO and 455 SD by some guys named Mark Weymouth and Dan Jensen. and, if that isn't enough another Pure Stocker is featured: Joe Shepard and his GSX, with a side a fries !!

Thanks Donny :TU: . My car was at Mickey D's from Nov. 21st to Mar. 20th. Great to see Tom's big spread also. Last June, at the Year One sponsored F.A.S.T./ Factory Stock Race at Martin, MI, Tom and I were paired up together. Tom won the first round by a tick or two, me the second ( I got lucky), and Tom won the last run. Our cars were very closely matched. Toms a great guy, and that race event was lots of fun. My car went 12.94 that day, the fastest it's ever went. Here's a photo from the pits. Thanks again, Joe x.
