I was changing the Intake last week and noticed that one of my pushrods had up down movement.

This maybe a stupid question, but can you adjust that out, or is something broken?

Well I have a tap or tick the follows the RPM band. Doesn't go away when warm. Could I have a bad lifter. How do you tell?

I'm no engine guru, but I'll try and help.

Do you know which lifter/valve that is "out of adjustment"? If so then warm up the engine, turn off, then pull the valve cover, over the lifter in question, and push on the rocker/pushrod. If it soft and spongee while the rest are firm you PROBABLY have a bad lifter. As I said I'm no engine guru, so I hope this helps.

I will give it a try next weekend and see.

    Thanks for the help.
