Well I finally got around to installing an mp3 CD player in the Riv Two 3.5" speakers in the Dash (What a pain it is to yank that out.) Two 6 by 9's in the trunk, where the old ones would have been. Looks totally stock, The original radio is still in the dash. Love how the car looks stock but has a better sound system, but I don't have a glove box anymore!
Woodgrain?!!! You insult me sir! (I'm kidding) That be real would(Lame attempt at humour right there), oak actually custom made by me to fit in there with no gaps at all!
 Oh, no, no. DEFINITELY, a COMPLIMENT!:TU::grin: I really mean that! You did a BEAUTIFUL job with that installation! It looks like it BELONGS there!:TU::bglasses: You say that you "don't have a Glovebox, anymore", because of your Radio? That's ok.:TU: With a car THAT BIG laugh: ), I bet you still have TRUNK space!:TU: You should have room for a whole Entertainment System back there, including Big Screen TV and Theater Seating! What's this week's feature, and how much do you charge for admission?(just kidding, back at you):bglasses:
Hey Scott, just funnin! The Radio with the with the wood face plate take up the whole glove box. It's pretty much flush with the opening at thebottom. That's okay though, I've got buckets so I've still got the console where I keep the insurance paperwork and fuses! Lot's of fuses!
Hmmm, just thinking that a "Buick" woodburned into the faceplace might be cool. Maybe a Buick symbol?
I would put a chrome Buick trisheild on the front of the wood, and finish the wood the same color as the wood on the door panels.
This is the kind of thing to which I referred when I suggested that there are many options available using electricity nowadays and suggested larger alternators to compensate. Stock is not always the way to go unless you do not enjoy the ride. Stuff like this is cool and should not detract from its value. This installation shows pride in workmanship ands certainly beats using the golvebox as a trashcan, as I have seen frequently. Good show!
