When identifying a Q-Jet, where on the carb do I find the numbers?

Also, is the throttle linkage standard, and if so, which spot would it hook for a '70 Skylark?

The numbers are stamped on the driver's side of the carb toward the back.

The number should start with a 7, unless it's a newer carb, which would start with a 17 (the changeover was in the mid 70's, IIRC).

Look for the numbers in the valley area of the carb behind the secondary throttle linkage arm. It also says Quadrajet there.. :) For decoding, you can ask here or try www.quadrajet.com in the ID section.

    The 704xxxx to 1704xxxx was in '75 I believe.
