First thing is to break the glass. Oh wait, that was how I did it, not the right way.....

I put my window down a little bit and pushed it straight down. I did use a tiny rubber mallet with a small punch tapping the seal at the track (carefully) to just start it. Once it gave it came out fairly easy.
A tip on buying new ones, make sure to get the one with the metal in it. I accidently bought the all rubbers and they were terrible, they spread out and stopped sealing pretty fast.

So does the seal get pushed down into the quarter panel first, and then you remove the chrome?

I also need to replace the chrome pieces, not just the rubber seals. I have them, but haven't tried anything yet

I didn’t remove the chrome so someone else will have to chime in.

When I did mine I laid the Glass itself in the bed of the pointing at the sun on a very HOT day.... Removing them was still a royal pain. Heat is your friend...... Putting then on was a piece cake.. The way mine came off I don't think it can be R&R in place.

I would think a heat gun would soft them up enough and a very thin putty knife.
