hey guys, I recently aquired a chevy 12 bolt outta a 72 el camino. I wanna swap it into my 65 skylark. I was looking at my buicks and it looks very different as far as the spring perches and the control arms. Will the 12 bolt swap in or do i need to modify it?

Direct bolt in. Use your upper control arms from your buick. The spring perches will just sit on the newer style 68-72 perches with the old springs from your 65.

The rear WILL BE 1/2 inch wider on each side and you may have to watch tire clearnce IF you are using all the wheel well with fat tires.

All the brake part should be interchangeable BUT...The drum PILOT holes will need to be increased to 2.81 from 2.78...SEEMS a very small detail ...BUT it will cause a seating problem onto the axle flange drum mating surface area.

Shocks are the same and lower control arms all the same. Go for it. Jim
