question for regal owners

I have a tubo regal hood from a 1982 regal that i'm going to take to our local swap meet next saturday.I have looked in the gm parts book & it says it fits 82-87's.Mentioned this to another buick owner & he says will not fit newer as the lines do not match at the front at the header panel.Anyone have an answer as who is right? GM or buick guy.

Will fit 1981-1987.

 

Ditto what Dan said. The G body similarity years are '78-80, the newer body style began in '81-'87. The hood will fit.

 

All clear...

 

GM part number 25512114 turbo hood fits 1981 thru 1987.
Only one I sold that did not fit was because the customer had changed his front end from an earlier model Regal. 1980 and back are different.
