Got it all back together and love the sound of a smooth valve train this time!! It rolls on down the road too! Now for some input. In about 20 mins of traffic tonight, my high engine temp. was 210. It climbed very slowly after reaching 200. 180 at cruise speed. Oil pressure is around 40 @ 2500 rpm while cruising. 16 or 18 lbs. @ idle. Pressure raises rapidly after slight acceleration. What do you think about my numbers??

113 cam from Poston set on 111.
Bowl work on stage 1 heads.
New TA oil pump cover with regulator and plate.
    Performer intake with Q-jet.
New radiator, 4 core rad., elect. pusher fan.
Playing timing by ear as I drive. No detonation.
TA shortys with X pipe system.

I have a small oil leak around the balancer. Do I need a balancer without the cross marks since I am running a neop. seal??

    Thanks guys.

Nice looking car! Set-up looks good. Question on oil leak. Did you put the oil slinger pack on. Water temp could be releative to temp. outside, but looked ok.

Missed the slinger this spring, but installed it last week. Temps were in the 80 degree area today. Thanks for the input.

    Jon,

    I'm no expert.

Do you have the adjustable oil pressure regulator? I'd think a bit higher OP at cruise would be a good thing. Something 55-65psi. @ 2500rpm. Easily accomplished with the adj. regulator. It does not affect idle oil pressure.

Gary, I didn't know what you guys were running. Mine is around 65 at idle when cold, but has the normal drop off when hot. An easy adjust.

    Electric fan

Your temp sounds high for a 4 core radiator. An electric fan is all you need but it sound like to fan you have isn't strong enough. they also work much better as a puller. You can try adding another electric fan on the engine side on the other end of the radiator. You should be able to keep the temp around 180-190.
