    daward Measure twice, cut once.

I have a balanced and blueprinted 464 w/ a TA413 cam in my full weight '66 Skylark w/ 3.31 gears. I picked up a freshly built reverse manual valvebody TH400, and I matched that with a freshened TCI Super Street Fighter Converter that stalls in the 3500 range. I run a deep pan, and an auxillery trans cooler along with the factory internal radiator-cooler.

The fluid level is too high (which I intend to take care of before I take it back out of the garage). The issue is the engine revs very high--3500 to 4500rpm-- when in 1st or reverse (I assume its the converter, but now I'm not so sure).

At 3/4 and full throttle the car feels like its slipping and not fully actuated in gear and it immediately shoots north of 5500rpm. The car doesn't feel like its pulling as hard as it should.

Any thoughts on what could be a problem here? I seriously doubt the fluid would cause any of this, nor the temperature since its the same hot and cold.

    Help? :error:
