Can someone help me with this question? I have a '71 Skylark that I'm ready to do an engine transplant in. The radiator core supports on both sides are nasty and flaking corrosion. Should I purchase that patch panels for both sides before I do the transplant? Do the old ones have to be cut out and the new ones welded in? Can I do the transplant, then come back and do the supports? Are there any differences in the panels and who make the best ones? Can I dig out all the corrosion, paint it with por-15, fill it in with metal filler, then sand it smooth instead of cutting the old parts out? Help please!
If you go to http://mrbuick.com/core.htm you can see the repair kits and one being installed. I have them ready to ship so order away!! Thanks :TU:
