Does anyone have the diagram for the rally guage? The chassis manual only shows the standard guage set that has an entirerly different hookup. From the backside of the guage going accross the pins from left to right I think this is what I have. 1: grey instrument lights 2: skip 3: tan fuel 4: blue oil 5: tan/white brake light 6: green temperature 7: brown ??? electrical to where ? 8: pink guage power I think the brown will go to exciter side of the alternator (12si setup with bypass, old voltage regulator removed) Does this sound OK?
Doug, You need to rearrange the wires. Here's an article dealing with the change over. Hope you can read it.
Larry, You are the MAN! This is just what I needed. Thanks It looks to me like I just need to reverse the pink and green wires. Doug
Dash Wiring Doug, the easy way would be to find the factory jumper wire that makes the work and plug it in and your done. AL
Al, Thanks for the idea. That would work fine if the harness was not so hacked and cobbled. I am putting in a new 21 circuit EZ wire harness. I should be applying power in the next 2 days. So far it looks OK. The Rally Guage has been the worst part so far as a few wires were pulled out and the only part that worked was the fuel guage. Doug
Dash Wiring Doug, do you have the big service book for your car? This is a big help!!! I know what you are going threw, I install a ralley T Type dash in 84 FWD Century wagon and the figuring the LED tachometer was the worst part, Take You Time!!! Good Luck and if you need I have some wiring diagrams on your car, AL.
