guys: is the diameter of the opening to the wheel centres for the rallye rim different for the 1970 vs 1971, 1972, 1973, etc. ? tkx
George....I believe the 1970 and earier were 2 1/8. The 1971 and ups are 2". The NOS 71 centercaps I have fit too loose on my 1970 WG repro rallyes. I had to buy the CARS repro 71 caps which are made to fit the repro rallyes.
The only rallye whls I have dealt with are the 15"x7 versions for Skylark/GS models. I have used the wheel caps from the later Regals, 78-87 on the earlier wheels with no problems. I don't have any info on the repro rallyes. The question was not specific enough for detailed answer.
