Hi all, I know there are several of you here most knowledgeable on this subject. I have a 66 Wildcat and would like to know the correct backspacing or offset number in-printed on the original factory rallye wheels. Furthermore, were the later model Buick models compatible with the Wildcat, and if so which ones? Finally, what options other than than finding the correct backspacing should I consider? Maybe using a backing plate? Really don't know the backing plate is a sound idea with the torque monster I am building. Thanks, Dave
Dave, V8buick is organized into separate Forums, each Forum dealing with different parts of the car. The Forum, "The Hides" is for wheel and tire information. The Forum you posted this in is for problems encountered when using the board. I'll ask a moderator to move it over to "The Hides" Forum. To answer your question though, the Rallye wheels that came on a 66 Wildcat were the 15" X 6" big car wheels with the 5X5 bolt circle. looks like those wheels had a 3 3/8" back space. http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/official-guide-to-rally-wheels-chart.196455/
