I just recieved my ram air seal plates for my 71 GS455 today from Year One. One looks fine I guess, but the other looks terrible! It looks like someone took a grinding wheel and glue to it, and threw it in the box! It is also deformed and bent looking! I am not happy that someone actually packed this thing and sent it to me. Who has had a good repro seal plate experience?

Well, I called Year One today about my wupped looking right ram air seal plate. I was surprised when they told me that the mold had detoriated badly, and "They will look like that until they replace the mold". OK, why don't you post that for people to know.

So, who else sells these ram air plates? Any suggestions?

Par for the course for ANY aftermarket company. They "know" the mold is deteriorated; they "know" the piece looks like crap; but they have no problem not telling you about it and just shipping it to you.

If I'm selling after market parts, and I have various vendors who manufacture parts that they want me to sell for them, don't you think I would make sure that the stuff they want me to peddle is not a POS!?!?

I don't understand the mentality of these people. I guess I NEVER will.

Thanks Jarod, but I need the right side, my drivers side looks nice. I really can't believe that Year One is the only vendor for this...can it be????

why the heck would year one even accept those incoming into their building?

they should have sent them back to the supplier before anyone else ever saw them.
