I'm in the process of replacing the rear bumper on my 75 convert. I've got the new one all polished ready to go. Here's the problem. One side of the bumper is pushed in just enough that I can't get a socket on the nuts (the other side is loose ready to be removed). The energy absorber is pushed in. I need to know what's the best way to pull it back out (I only need about 1/2 clearance) so I can get the socket on it. I thought about taking it off the energy absorber with the bumper and fix it once it's off the car, but I can't get to those nuts either. Suggestions?
