12 bolt truck rear end, has about a 1/4 inch rotational play in the pinion when you twist it by hand. Does not appear to be pinion to ring gear play? Is this something to worry about?
check out the carrier cross pin, side and spider gears for wear. I dont think theres a spec for it, but obvious wear = replace them
