Looking forward to input from others as well.

What I do know is that '67 LeSabre did not use the bigger 9-3/8" carrier design used by Wildcat/Electra/Riviera that year. It may be the early Buick 8.2", I don't know, sorry.

From '67 and up, yes. I don't know if the housing is an easy bolt-in to a '67 LeSabre, though (if that's why you're asking).

Should be the early 8.2 rear similar to the Skylarks..... but in the carrier only. The housing is different.
Axle bearings are unique to 66-68 GS, Sportwagon, and LeSabre.....
I'll bet a 64-67 posi carrier will work for you. Monzaz will have a great price, so contact him.:TU:

Yes the 68-70 are the same as the LeSabre...1967...Humm maybe the same as the 8.2 Buick Skylark too. Got some pictures? Jim

Sway Bars - I do not think Impala had a sway bar as they were track bars on that rear. All the way to 1970 .

Buick parts book shows the LeSabre as a 5000 series. Wildcat is a 6000 series which uses a different rear.
67 LeSabre uses the same center section as the 64-67 Skylarks. 68-up is different.

So what would that carrier be called? Its just an early 8.2? I think they make posi and gears for those!

If original it is a BOP 8.2. Get the gear options from Board member, Monaz. He is a rear end specialist.

It is original, thanks for all the in put!!! It's good to be sure of what you have before you go and order parts! Nothing is worse then tearing your car apart and realizing you bought parts for the wrong rearend lol
