These would in fact fit the 68/69 better but these new plastic spoilers are what being sold for the 70/72

The spoilers for ‘70-‘72 are too wide to line up with a ‘68-‘69’s quarters. If the pedestals are separate pieces they may be for a stepchild or GTO...

Just a quick update. I ordered the rubber, it came in a day but that isn't going to work. So I started thinking about what Bill suggested with the pencil. The problem here is I only have about 1/8" to work with and the metal screw holes are in the plastic. A
belt sander may take too much off and then to try and reset the holes would be a major undertaking. I unscrewed the pedestals from the spoiler and I went old school with hand files and little by little I filed the center until I got the contour I could work and live with. It looks pretty good now, but a little more and I think it will look even better. I'm not sure if I should go with hand made rubber gaskets yet, from the rubber I ordered. I do have enough clearance over the quarters, so maybe I'll try both ways.

There was enough material on the pedestals to get it down a little after all

Yeah, I wasn't sure there was. It took some work and I looked like a snowman afterwards, but there was enough there.

When ya check in at the Holiday Inn, they let you borrow a complimentary black light for checking out DNA spills. Youd hate to slip on something on the way to the launch pad LOL.... Glad it gotcha in the ball park! ws
