Is there any reason a 1972 Riv rear defogger wouldn't fit a 70 skylark. If not could it be made to? Minus the wiring, a defog is a defog is a defog etc.??? :Do No:
    thanks, Mike

You can make anything work. FYI, you can sell your riv defogger to a riv guy and buy a skylark defogger and do it right :Smarty:

Thanks, I thought so. I have to fabricate some sort of creation to fit 2 speakers, the defogger and a new package tray in that little spot. Mike

There's a very good reason the Riv defogger won't be fitting into your Skylark. The Riv piece is unique, mounts vertically instead of horizontally. The Skylark defogger is universal to many GM cars, and fairly easily found. It will also fit into the existing cut outs in the rear shelf. To make the Riv defogger fit, you'll have to cut up the rear package tray, fabricate a trim piece and it will never be stock. If you have a Fisher body manual, it shows the rear defoggers and how they mount.
