Rear Window Doesn't Stay UP

Ok, This is really starting to bug me.

If I roll down my drivers side front window, the leading edge of the rear quarter window starts to go down, as if it were being rolled down. I have to push it up to the top and then roll my drivers side window up for it to stay there. I haven't taken anything apart yet, but I think I'm going to as it makes my already bad weather sealing even worse, since it not only leaves a gap at the top of that window, but also pushes the front door window away from the car a bit.

I assume I go in by taking that panel out? Are there any tricks? I haven't really looked at it, but plan to this weekend.

Is there anything I should do while its out? It doesn't really need to be polished or anything, but are there any other parts I might as well throw in there while its apart?

    Thanks for the advice

Sounds like a bad window regulator. Make sure you have an assistant hold the glass in place while you remove the regulator. If you don't, you can easily have the glass move and fall possibly breaking.

Thanks George. Is there a reliable place to get them, or just at the parts store?

    Thanks again.

Regulator will have to come from a salvage car.

mhgs it just takes money !!

    window ....

if you take the rear window completely out...think there are only 3 smaller bolts holding the regulator in ....just make sure you lubricate the regulator track and adjust it so that the window seats at the top of the travel...if it doesn't thats when it starts to fall... not a bad job...and you will sure tell the difference with the operation of the window.
