there is rust underneath the rear window (under the vinyl) on my electra. i know this needs to be taken care of ASAP so that i don't have a replace the the panels in my trunk, but i'm kind of broke at the moment . what should i do (or have done at a body shop) to fix this permanetly and is there a way i could fix this until i get the money for a bodyshop to work on it?
I feel your pain. No way but the right way. You need to have a good body guy fix this. Maybe save some $$ by sanding all rust off. You will need to remove and replace top as well as you will destroy it tearing it up.
