    TimR Nutcase at large

Radios, bumpers, trim, etc. Used to buy parts cars all the time (when they were cheap 25 years ago) and grab what I wanted the rest went away. Thing is where are you going to keep all these parts? That said still have a pile here, I'll never use them (most likely) and stopped tossing stuff about 2000 but the tough part is connecting with somebody who needs that part, or even just the shipping costs. By now I've boxed most stuff up and filed away but still loads of loose stuff....one day going to be moving, dreading that!!

66electrafied Just tossing in my nickel's worth

When I sold (traded ) the Wildcat back in 2006 I left a full set of cornering lights, a full set of new NOS tie rods, 2 steering columns, 2 front drums, a set of tail lights and a grille in the trunk. None of that stuff made it on the car, and who knows where it all ended up.
At that time, I sent a 430 and a TH400 to scrap, figuring that I had a Nailhead now and I'd never play with a BBB again. I also scrapped about a full ponton's worth of a Mercedes in spares and accumulated parts. I drove it all out to the scrapyard in a rusted out 1976 Ford F-150 extended cab longbox that I figured wouldn't sell anymore because there was next to nothing holding the cab on the frame anymore and the steering box was on it's last bolt, not to mention the engine didn't have a serviceable gasket left and the clutch was shot. At the time there was just no support for those trucks and it didn't make sense to try and save it.
Now I regret getting rid of all of it.
