Today I removed my windshield on my 67 GS Convertible. It is an original red interior car. The front of the dash looks as if it was a year old. The entire lower windshield channel paint looks like new.

I have had other V8 Buick members question me on if the front of the dash was painted a Burgundy or darker red than the lower part of the dash. At first I would have gone alone with that thought. But after removing the windshield I pulled up the rubber gasket material that seals the windshield and under the rubber where the sun couldn't fade the paint it is the same bright red as the lower dash. So I don't know how they painted all the Red GS dashes but mine was all one color. In fact I took a little rubbing compound to the faded red on the front of the dash and it came right back to the original bright red color.

I hope this helps a few members out there. :beer :beer :beer :beer

    Thanks
    Scott

The only reason i askes was because there is a member here on the board with another red interior`d 67 untouched and his has the darker pad and dash,i also got the same info about red interior cars from Marvin Shives in MD and he`s bought a few of these brand new in `67,i also wanted to ask you what color are the window cranks?

    Thanks
