Just a reminder to all that post, "The Bench" is for general or off topic subjects. There have been quite a few tech questions addressed to "The Bench" lately, that may be more appropriate under a different forum. Just trying to keep things organized, thanks all..:TU:
Al, That's true and I'm new here, but how many people read all of the boards? People go where the traffic is. I know I go to the Interior section as that's what I'm working on right now, but others that could probably answers questions for me don't frequent that board. Not saying its right, but that's typical of most boards. ________ Anal Oral
I really prefer to use the "view new posts' link to see what threads have new replies, and to see new threads. I found that I was missing a lot of interesting stuff, by only reading certain forums. You can also post to the appropriate forum, and if response is poor, then repost to the bench, explaining the lack of help in "........" forum.
Greg, you make my point all the more . If I post about how I redid my interior under "The Bench", you may never see it. I'm just trying to do a little house cleaning thats all. Not :blast: at anyone... ANY new post, reguardless what forum, will be available under "View New Posts" which is what a lot of people do.
Al, Say you finished your car a few months ago including a complete redo of the interior. You don't check the Interior board any more now that the car is done. I have a question about how to do something - you're the expert, you just finished - but you don't know about my question since you don't look at that board as often and I really need to get something done fast. BTW, I'm not disagreeing with you, just sort of playing devil's advocate, and presenting the likely counterpoint. We can't make the whole board required reading. ________ Shower tube
Simple Greg, as I "View New Posts", I would automaticlly see your question when you ask it to the V8 board, even if you post it in the interiors forum. If it was the other way, I would have to check the interior forum to see your question.
Also Greg, those of use who are really pretty good at one thing or another tend to visit our "strength" forums on a daily basis. You'd be surprised how quickly a question gets answered in a specific forum. It may take a day, but you'll get the answer. Thanks.
Sorry Dad, I mean Al.....Just joking... so you put a new interior in your GSX.....hhhmmmm...wonder how it looks..... Will I see it at Norwalk in May???? I'm sure we could find another Apollo white GSX to show up....... I heard that Norwalk has turned into almost 4 days of fun....... and on one day we get to see some "other" FS/PS cars in their glory for a little test-n-tune if they want to come and play........ sounds like too much fun....
