I was researching different billet remote oil filter mounts to try and find one I liked with fittings that go straight in (to avoid any more 90* turns as possible) and found some interesting ones by Peterson Fluid Systems. They offer their mounts in an array of threads and different filter applications. What caught my eye was this Remote Filter Mount w/ Primer Pump. I think it is just another cool alternative to the already common "Pre-Lube" systems that are out there today. Though it would be a bit overkill for a daily street driven car I think it would be an interesting choice for the cutting edge cars and cars that are driven less frequently that would benefit from priming before start up. You would have to add a fitting on the oil pan sump for the primer inlet. That may be too much Jick-Jacking around for some. But for the guy's that are up for it they just need to keep their cordless drill charged up and handy and you are good to go. It even has a nifty port for a pressure gauge. It is a bit pricey at about $375.00 but it comes with the fittings and you are actually getting a nice billet remote mount and an oil system primer with fittings in one package, so I think its something to consider. Matching billet mounting brackets are available in various sizes in either tube mount or flange mount.

    Hey Briz,
I would keep the Masterlube kit.. Its effective use goes way beyond just OP for start up.. Just my 2 cents

Briz, I agree with Frank. These units have a lot of benefits and start up oil pressure is only one of them. I'd use it.

Larry, the pre oiler filter housing is a neat piece for sure! I'm a Peterson Fluid System dealer, so if you want me to get you a price on one just let me know. I'll need to look up my cost, but I can usually sell their stuff quite a bit cheaper than list price.
