removing vinyl top question..

    ok, got the vinyl top off my 72 skylark. now what do i use to remove the glue?? do i need to sand off?? or can it b chemically stripped?? how do i prep byound that?? im new to this sortof thing, so sorry to b so out of touch.. thanx..

    Hey I do not know for sure but there is something called I think goo be gone or something similar to that,and it is supposed to be good for removing adhesives,tar and such,worth a try,should be available at places like Ace Hardware,or maybe call your local auto body man or someone in your area that replaces Vinyl tops and they would surely know.Goodluck.

    MK1 at Home Depot or 3M General Adhesive Remover at your Body Supply Store, Steve
