Which year do you need? They are different, in case you didn't know. Hopefully, you have a '72 as a grill won't be as spendy as a '71. Sorry, but there isn't a repro available for either year. If it's a '71 you need, your best bet is to find a repairable one and spend time fixing it. Even broken ones are expensive for '71's.
NO Repo's as of yet Thanx Jim ......... Yes I do have a nice 71 GS grille that needs to be sent out for a few minor repairs . I'd let it go for 950.00 . :bglasses: Also I have a 72 NOS GS grille for sale ....750.00 ( 01 /13 / 04 ) Both grilles are SOLD........... Bruce  :TU: :3gears:
My gut just notted up! I sold my '71 gs-455 in 1989 for a grand. it had a mint grill, and a genuine gm spoiler. ou:
71 grill I got lucky ,found a used 71 GS Grill from a guy that had an extra one.It had only minor damage.used that plastic weld to repair it .paid $400. and have about 12 hrs. in the restoration ,SO FAR. IM PAINTING THE BLACK NOW. You can view it in the color is everything section.I also have seen guys buy 2 bad grills and build 1 from both. i keep an extra on hand {damaged of course} just in case.your only chance may be to scan Ebay daily till you can find parts grills or a good one.but that will cost you$$$$$$$ R. Does anyone know if the '67 GS/Special grills are being reproduced? or if anyone is planning on it? That would be a hot seller! Thanks
I am unaware of any plans by anyone to remake those. I suspect right or wrong that the 70 grilles would be the first to be reproed. Larry Miller who is the King of the 67s or at least one of them was re--doing some 67 grilles and selling them. He offered one here once a while back, but I think he told me he did not get any response. He still has a 67 GS he bought new.
A LOOOOONG time ago I had a deal with a Buick dealer who was willing to sell me a quantity of 67 GS grilles for $180 a piece. Of course this was when they were still available. I had to promise him a minimum order of 10 to get the dealer cost of $180 instead of about $250 list price. Well, I couldn't get enough guys to step up to it and the deal fell through. It seemed they thought $180 was still too much at the time. :eek2: Doesn't sound like a bad deal today, though. ou: Mark
Don't 67 GS grilles show up on ebay fairly frequently? Seems to me I've seen them more than other years, and cheaper.
REPO GRILLS OUT SOON just recieved an NOS 71{GS} dack lid emblem from CARS inc. They sent me a parts book with it. As i looked through the book i found a page that said 1970 - 1972 grills - soon! please inquire. It does not specify 1971 or does it GS or SKYLARK. but it does show 2 drawings with it that show a 70 GS and a 72 gs grill. Hope they make the 71 GS. NEXT TIME I ORDER FROM THEM ILL ASK ,VERY GOOD SOURCE FOR PARTS.EXPENSIVE ON SOME THOUGH. R. Davis
I believe that ad has been in there for years. I have a CARS Cat. several years old and the same statement appears on page 17.
