Is there anywhere I can purchase a new fuse box for my 69 custom? I have only seen them with the painless wiring kits, but I just want the new block so I can use the new style fuses.

Not sure what's out there, the stock set-up is very durable & plenty available.
Just curious.......why do you want to change fuse styles & to what style?

Can you tell me where a "stock", new fuseblock can be purchased?
    Thanks,

It would be a lot of work to change the fuse box but not the wiring harnesses, since the shape would be different. Are the glass fuses giving trouble?

Good used will be fine. I have one here, shipping from almost the other side of the world. There are plenty in your area. Post a "Parts Wanted" ad.

Yeah I have broken two of them, the contacts are really rusty on the block. I actually found one on the OPGI site yesterday, it seems to be a same shape replacement.

Lectric Limited may have the original style fuse blocks.
The fuse block is part of the dash wiring harness. Generally replaced as one assembly. Cost about $470 for fuse block and harness.

I've searched high and low for replacement fuse block terminals, but haven't found them. I resorted to restoring it myself...
...taken it apart, bead blasted then replated all the terminals, and re assemble.

I got a reproduction fuse box for my -70 GS 455 convert from Lectric. $110 + shipping.
Just had to give them some details, auto or manual, floor shift or column w AC or w/o etc.
Youll find the fuse block listed among the "repair components".
    Great service.

Guys they are now makeing adapters for the old type fuses to be replaced with the new blade types. I can't remember where I saw them, but they make them for sure.
The adapter has the shape of the old fuse (no fuse though) you then plug the "Blade type fuse into the adapter. One should be able to find them by doing an internet search or call a parts store locally.
