Just wondering how to go about replacing the seal in the tail of a Turbo 350. Special tools required? Tricks to getting the old one out/new one in?
    Thanks,

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

No special tools needed. Jack up the rear so trans fluid flows to the front.
Put the rear on jack stands and remove the d-shaft. Remove the old seal and then tap in place the new one. Should not take long.

Just bang a flat screw driver hard in the edge, and bend it and pry it out. Just pop the new one in!

I was thinking/hoping that it would be pretty easy (I assumed that it wouldn't be much different than installing wheel bearing seals on a rotor). I thought I remembered seeing a manual that said that a special tool was necessary--it kinda looked like a steering wheel puller I guess, but I could be wrong :Do No: Anyways, thanks for the help guys :TU:
