Hello Everyone, In the photos you can see that the underside tip has a small crack and that strip running across the middle is out of shape slightly. what options do I have to restore this piece? Are there repros available? Looking for information I can trust, as this piece is hard to come by and I don't want to put it in the hands of just anyone. Thanks
So I reached out to a place in Long Beach that I was referred to after reaching out to Foose Designs. This place is called Artistic Silver Plating info@artisticsilverplating.com and they're due to contact me back regarding the restoration of this piece. I'll update this post as it goes.
There are no re-pops of this part. Good used or $$$ NOS do occasionally pop up. If out of shape not sure they will be successful in straightening it. I have seen many with a deflection on either side of point.
You are right. It's an uphill fight. I'm also looking at a source that might be able to scan the item and recreate it. We'll see...
I had a source to possibly fix this issue in Long Beach. Came to me recommended through the guys with Chip Foose. They're customer service is terrible. I've not heard back from them in almost three months. Anybody else have a source to check into?
There are no re-pops for this part? There certainly is. OPGI summer catalog. I think the price is pretty fair for a very hard to find part.
Dang Jason, I wasn't paying attention. Sorry...... Plan B, try that guy in Connecticut. He has lots of 68 to 69 parts. I'll think of his name in a minute. I know he's always in the parts for sale section. mrsklark71, he's out of Conn., and a very nice guy to deal with.
1. Put aside some cash for a better part. 2. Use what you have, and keep your eye open for a better one. Jump when you see one. 3. Put aside some cash for a better part. 4. Use what you have, and keep your eye open for a better one. Jump when you see one. 5. ...
