I've been pretty quiet on this website for a while now but there is good reason. I've been stationed overseas for the last 2 years and had to leave my 69 Buick Sport Wagon back at my parents house. I'm happy to say that I'm finally moving back to the US and will be reuniting with my Sport Wagon next week :3gears:

The whole time I've been over here (Japan) I've been working on my other project car, my 72 Datsun Sunny. I'm shipping her out tomorrow to meet me back in the US in about 2 months so until it arrives the Buick is going to be my only mode of transportation

My parents were able to start the Buick up every other month and drive it around a little so I'm happy about that, but it's definitely going to need some attention. I have to drive the Wagon from Ohio to Texas and the front brakes need new wheel cylinders, the tranny needs a rebuild/replace, and the front end needs to be rebuilt and realigned....not to mention the givens (oil change, tune up, etc). I have to keep everything on a tight budget because I'm about to buy a house when I get to Texas too so it may be a little while before I can start getting back to fixing her up.

Next things on my list once I get the tranny, brakes, and suspension fixed up is going to be Jet Hot'ing the headers, maybe a new exhaust, and a set of TA aluminum heads. She won't have anything on my Datsun but I love how dependable and easy to fix the Buick is. The Datsun is a bit of a headache cause the engine and turbo take up the WHOLE engine bay and everything is packed in, so I'm looking forward to turning wrenches on something easy now that I've learned patience and what a tight spot REALLY means! We've got it so easy with the Buicks...trust me.

So, you guys will probably being seeing more of me in the future! Time to get the wagon looking good and into the 13's :TU:
