Was trying to get a T40 bolt off the PS bracket on a SBC the other night. While looking underneath to see if the bolt was turning, the end slipped out of the bolt and POW - basically punched myself right in the nose. :Dou:

Boxing wouldn't be for me. I don't mind telling ya.....that smarted for a few minutes.

    Ouch.

I hit myself in the teeth once pulling the bar from a tire after breaking it loose from a rim on a tire machine. Luckily there was no damage.

Took five stitches to close my eye once from hitting myself in the face with a crescent wrench..... :af: That sucked. Hurt too. Long time ago fortunately.

I've broken my honker six times Scott so I feel your pain.
Always due to "brain fart". Sometimes ya just get lost in thought and forget what the rest of ya is doing. :Dou:

    Hey Robert!!

Nah.....just a little more common sense!! I don't generally put myself in that situation.

Guess it's good to have a 'friendly' reminder once in while. Keeps us from REALLY getting hurt. :Smarty:

I have done similair stupid stuff more times I care to remember but nothing tops the time I worked in a warehouse and two new guys were putting a shelf on the big units on the wall. One guy was tapping the shelf down with a hammer with the other guy underneath! Well the guy with the hammer missed the shelf with the down swing and smacked the other guy in the mouth! Goodby teeth!

My engine builder smoked himself in the face with a hammer, right below his eye. his nose got an itch, at the same time he was using the hammer.

I was taking off some rusted lug nuts with my torque wrench, well it likes to reverse direction AFTER it breaks free - smoked my head off of the rusted wheelwell twice (i know) and almost got a third - my head hurt for the rest of the nite.

    Torque Wrench ?

Hope your not using a good torque wrench for this , if so before using it to torque bolts I wouldn get it calibrated . Torque wrenches are very fragile pieces and cshould be handles as such , used only for their intended purpose
