I have to change drive shaft in the rear axel. What other drive shaft will fit?
I replace wheel bearing for a customer, came to close with the grinder. :Dou: Thanks Goran

How bad is it? You will probably be fine. It will take a lot more than a nick to make those axles week The bearing presses on so it is not like the bearing ride on the axle like a c-clip. JUST tell you customer and be honest ...Jim

Thank you, Martin. Gothenburg was my address in many years, nice town.
I will try that one tomorrow. I will try some outher places to.
There was no c-clipps on this one, have to drill in p-box and smack it in.
I read your thread. Thanks Goran

What rear is in this car? Buick or Olds 12 bolt? DOES the cover have 12 bolts and ROUND...or more square ish. If you have the olds 12 bolt road housing...I might have a set of axles...or one if you need. Jim

I'm sure it's the big 9 3/8" like from any 455 powered 71-75 Buick B or C body, and some Olds.

The cover look like this, not all round 12 bolts.
    Bearing OD is 2" 7/8
    Thanks Goran.

Definitely the 9 3/8". I've yet to see anything else from the factory under a boattail Riv.
