Got this from which I believe was a 67 or 68 Riv. Chrome on nut for switch has slight bit peeling. Tested switch and cylinder with an air pump and works great. I do not have the vacuum canister. I am in Ontario Canada and do have paypal. Need 40 USD.

Inline at the moment. I got to check if it will work on a 69 Riv, any part numbers on it? I'm in Wasaga Beach, ON so if a deal is to be made shipping will be easy :).

I'm pretty sure my 69 Riv trunk is vaccum too.

    ok
i had both years and the 68 was vacuum
    the 69 was power
(but the door locks were vacuum on both cars)

    maybe mine was modified?

My door locks are manual and I'm 99% sure that my trunk is vaccum. I will check to be sure.

checked a few 1969 riviera trunk pics
    and you are right:
this looks like a vacuum line

but i know for sure the trunk release on my 69 was 12v because one day i had to hotwire the little button in the glove box to open the trunk

in the 68 i could suck on one of the vacuum lines at the glove box button to open the trunk

Just checked a Canadian GM parts manual and the vacuum trunk cylinder is listed as the same part on the Riviera from 66 to 69.

looking at the red button in your pic:
the one in my 69 was yellow, like the one in my 1974 electra (12v opener) is

the button in my 1968 riv (vacuum opener) was also red
so my 69 didnt have the original trunk release

The button in my glove box is red with a vaccum line attached to it. I just need to check the trunk to see if the actuator is still there, for some reason I think mine was removed hence why I would like this one. If you can give me until later tonight to check that would be great!

My apologies I meant to respond yesterday and got totally sidetracked. I did check my trunk and the cylinder is still there all hooked up so it's a matter of testing it to see if it works or not. I will step aside for now to let others have a chance and if it's still available if I need it I'll get back in line. Again sorry about the delay!
