Need tyo know if the 1966 67 68 riviera mounting points are all the same for the lower and upper control arms and track bar too. SO can we take a 66 and swap out a 68 in its place and vise versa? Please let me know, Thanks, Jim J D
Yes they are, and you can, But pinion flanges are different. The '66 had a square flange. Not sure if it was in '67 that it changed to the round flange? I replaced the rear in the '66 I owned with one from a '68, which was from a '70 Riviera that had it's rear switched out during the time a friend owned it. In that case I was able to use the driveshaft from the '70 to get around swapping out the pinion flange on the axle. Edit: I seem to recall reading that at one point they changed the height of the upper control arm mount, but if they did it didn't effect what I did.
