Hey guys, I’m trying to replace the nylon retainers on my rocker arm assembly but I don’t get how to get the new ones installed. Any suggestions?

Little white lube on the barbs. Position an appropriate sized deep socket over the top, and a couple of hits with a small hammer.

Don't use a socket bigger than the pin or else you stand a chance of breaking the outer shell.

Thank you both. I broke a couple but I now got them all installed.

When we replaced them on my '72 GS, no extra force was required. Just push them in by hand. Seems to me T/A had an extra in the bag.
