I am in the process of building a 455. As I am putting the stock rocker arm assembly together I was wondering, Is there a difference between left and right assemblies. I noticed an "L" on all the new federal mogul rocker arms. Just wondering.
    Thanks

Actually if I am not mistaken," L" is for the cyl, not side, in other words, LR LR LR LR as you look at the head, intake facing away from you. Brian :Smarty:

    I'm confused gang.

The 455 heads are interchangable side to side. So the rocker assemblies should be identical regardless of which head they go on.

    Right?

Or is 1nadrag asking something different? Or is there something I'm missing?

    Thanks.

Jeff.. the pushrod cup in the rocker is offset.. this offset always goes toward the rocker tower of the head (where the rockershaft bolts on)

Rockers are not side specific. (Driver or Passenger side of the engine).

    Thanks Jim.

:Dou: I knew the rockers were specific regarding their placement on the shaft. I just couldn't for the life of me figure out the question.

    Seems pretty obvious now...
