What kind of hardware do you need to install
stock (wide) rocker panels on a 1972 Skylark/GS
2-door HT coupe? Do you need a special panel/or screws?
    Thanks, AL :Dou:

    Al,

The rocker panels are welded to the car. Are you sure that is what you are replacing? They are outside just below the doors.
Are you talking about the door sill plates/panels inside the doors that attach with screws?
If you so need to replace the rockers, you will need something to cut the old ones off with such as a die grinder, metal nibbler, or plasma cutter. You will also need a welder (usually mig) to reattach the new rockers. There is a new epoxy like substance that is supposed to be great for ataching panels with out welding. A guy I work with has used it on his street rod running boards and says it works great. I think 3m makes it but I am not sure.
    Good luck with the project.

For the wide rocker panel covers, you need 10 mounting discs (1 5/8") and two fender strips (1"x18"). The original Buicks discs are hard to find but you can buy the more common 1 3/8" Olds Cutlass discs from many stores.

Thanks for the info.....the car came stock without (has none now)
any rocker panel moldings, etc. It did have a small
1/2 inch chrome strip that is now long gone?
I think the bigger stock (chrome rocker panel) GS type
would help dress up the car..... there are no wheel-
    well moldings either.
    Again, Thanks for the help...AL
