How hard is it to remove and replace the door and 1/4 windows? I'm thinking about pulling all the glass out to help clean up the doors. I figure I'll polish the glass while its out as well. Thanks for any help.

It is not at all hard;just very time consuming. One thing that I would caution you on is how you remove the glass. They will come out,but be careful not to scratch the glass on the inner edges of the glass openings.

Another tip that I want to add is when you remove all the glass, that's the time to clean and lubricate all the window regulators.

I'm planning on cleaning, repairing and lubing everything when its apart. The consern I have is getting everything back together and working correctly. I have taken windows and regulators out, but never installed them.

Then I'm sure you know about the razor sharp edges you will encounter. :af:

Not to worry. How's this- if your not so sure about getting everything back together-get an assembly manual. Year One sells them for around $20 and they are well worth the money.

While you have the windows out, plan on replacing the window rubs(they are the two felt covered pieces in each door. Also, check the outside window fuzzies and replace them if you see them cracked;make sure you get the correct round stainless steel molding that is part of the outer window fuzzy. The wrong ones are flat and don't look correct).
