WoW!!! What an incredible pitching performance by Mike Mussina!! :TU: :bglasses: He took a perfect game into the 7th inning against that Boston lineup!! (not the 1st time he's done that either). Yanks were on cruise until the 7th inning.....having taken an 8-0 lead. Shilling got knocked out by the 3rd inning. Then it turned into the dogfight I was expecting. Yanks held on to win 10-7. Looks like it's going to be another unbelieveable series!! :bglasses: :TU: Neither team is 'out of it'...even when down by 8. Probably the two best lineups in the Majors. (bound to get an argument from Cards fans on that one). :Brow:
Seems the Patriots just put the whammy on the Sox this weekend past! new record 19 18 old record 1918!
How you doin' Sam!! Yankees are 14-2 when leading 2-0(not sure when they started that stat, since the Yanks have won 26 World Series titles). I'll take my chances. Pedro pitched a pretty decent game, but they ran into another brilliant starting pitching effort from the Yanks. Lieber was awesome!! :bglasses: :TU:
Yanks scored 19 tonight!! :TU: That sets a new ALCS record......the previous was 18. :Brow: Yet another coincidence!?
AW, you NY guys are brutal :TU: Speaking as a Chicago Cub's fan ( I know, flame away) I have to feel for the BoSox and hope the depression isnt to severe Still rooting for the underdog over here :Smarty: uzzled: D.
Pedro's attitude tells the story. Nobody can be a winner and beleive he can't win at the same time. Nobody. He's a Frootloop. I never fell for the Pedro hype. I never even thought he was a great pitcher. It's always "but he once-" Yeah, right, once upon a time. Thank God I don't care about MLB anymore. (I gave that up in '86) The only problem is that Boston drivers don't get better at driving when hungover, sleep deprived AND pissed that the Sox lost
