so, as my "young" kick is still in me, and my desire to go supa fast! ive lead myself to doing way to much research.. so, im in the market for an old yamaha, little 80cc two stroke champ, cant find a good replacement piston, the stock piston is a 47mm (46.96mm to be exact) and a 42mm stroke. while i can find a piston that has the same diamater, same size rings, but is made by a name brand to hold up to heat and load better while giving me a small compression bump.

from there, its looking into what the stock cylinder clearance is, as well as head clearance, Clearance is smallest cylinder DIA minus the piston DIA measured at 5 mm above bottom of skirt and measured perpendicular to wrist pin.

mind you,i have MANY options, but whats my safest bet? a OEM piston is as much as a high comp wiseco piston..
