Just so everyone knows, can someone please explain the rules so nobody gets cought unaware? Like, are short pants allowed on drivers? Must EVERY car have a helmet? Even 16 second cars? Fire extinguisher? What specific tech inspection things should we make sure we have covered??? I know we need 20 lug nuts and an overflow bottle. What else?? Thanks

For the benefit of those who will be using this event to race for the first time I think snide remarks should best be left to basically making animal sounds in the background of the soon-to-be-available video tape of the event. Especially when a specific red convertible is trying to win a race against a certain gold Riviera. Then monkey and other various jungle sounds should suffice. But, until then... Are there any regulations we'll need to adhere to?

Salem is rumored to get laxed with pants when its hot, but I've never seen it. Bring jeans! Not sweatpant! Helmets are for ragtops and (I think) 13.99-under. Do you have two helmets? Bring em for your buddies. Overflow bottles are mandatory! Don't got em? Use a Coke jug or the like. Its legal. Other wierd mods? Well, to avoid trouble, I've been known to claim that my Regal is a WE6 factory four speed car! Keeps nosey tech guys away.
Can someone take me on a 10 second pass?? Quickest I've gone in my car is low thirteen. I've heard a solid 11 second is like "oh, my God" and a 10 second is like "oh, my God.... I just crapped my pants"
I could be wrong, but I don't think quaker lets you take a passenger in anything running less than 14 seconds.

9s are about the same. Use to have a drag bike that did an easy 9.5 and it was as fast as I want to go with out a cage. You don't even have time to react to the fun, till its over. It is also kind of scary as it is so quick. It seams so much faster. It was like 1-2-3-4-5 let off the gas and breath. ahhhh Just about as fast as you can say it.
