I wanted the Spurs But never watch a game all year, actually not since the Bird/Madgic days (Ok, I'm sure I saw a few Jordan games after they both retired, but lost ALL interest when they did). And this was my favorite sport. ou: Now watch the PGA and love it!!! :TU:
Spurs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Spurs played a great game as did Detroit. The best team in the league (especially if you include character) won the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO SPURS GO SPURS GO SPURS GO SPURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :beer
I didn't really care who won. Both play the way I like; together, as a team; no super-big-head-watch-me-s; great defense; scoring from all over the court. Gotta love that Robert Horry, though. Not an overly-heralded guy, but keeps putting up those clutch shots. I'm just happy there were no L***rs in it.
shoot, i'm a die-hard pistons fan.......great matchup and terrible officiating(both ways).....joe crawford and dick bavetta need to get off the personal vendettas and ref the games(rant over) who woulda thought duncan would shoot 30% and they'd still win? horry stepped up again(bailed tim's ass out in game 5) and they all hit big shots at the end....... not to start an argument here, but how do you get that san antonio has so much more character than the pistons? an emotional team doesn't have character? i like how in the miami series everyone was saying they lost their composure, something they hadn't done before..this team has ALWAYs played on the edge, i would guess they've gotten more techs over the last 3 years than any other team in the league.....detroit was down pretty much every series they played the last two years and this is the first one they've lost....or are you talking about off the court stuff? in which case nobody does more for the community around detroit than the players on this team(especially rasheed), and the only stories you hear in the media about them are positive, no crime blotters or anything else like that...... the spurs were a deeper team, and that ended up being the difference in game 7 -josh
