I know of a few local ones close to me that ironically are owned by a guy who owns a junkyard and all he trys to do is save wagons and GM A bodies from the 60s/70s. The one he showed me several guys wanted to buy it and demo derby it and he said, no, take this rusted out full size 1980s ford crown victoria instead:)

And they did! Save the wagons!

I wish Diabos old Estate Wagon looked as good as it used to, the 2nd owner after them really jacked it up!:af:

You mean the custom flamejob lol:D. The car only did 3500 no reserve a few years ago on ebay I was the high bidder but the guy was a real as@hole and wouldn't sell the car.

Herb it has flames on it now?:( My stepfather wanted the Diabos old 70 estate wagon badly. One year way back in the day i called them up they said they sold it to a guy named Joe in Boston (your neck of the woods) . He is a tour bus driver and was hard to get ahold of bc he was driving for Rod Stewart's tour. I harassed him to a degree that if he sells it call me. Well he called me but after he told me he decided to sell it locally i think for 7500 or 8k. The next owner added off set wheels a stupid silver pin stripe and something to the interior and aftermarket gauges that looked really tacky. He sent us pics but the damage was done to it. Be nice to have a Buick wagon with a big block to compliment a big block wagon we have now.

Herb do you know where this wagon is? Really a shame.

Love that blue 73 in Illinois. Had a green 71 back in the day when our 3 kids were little.
We called it the "Bus", what a hauler! Could get 8 adults in it comfortably.
Of course gas was cheap back then.
Just asked the wife if I could buy it for old times sake, of course you know what she said!

I'm already too close to the edge!
The problem with buying these whales, is trying to sell them after
you've had your fun. With today's gas prices, only idiots like us
    would even consider buying one!

I had a 76 Olds Clamback in the 80's, only got 12 mpg at best, through the prairies or up the side of a mountain, didnt make a difference. Loved that car.
