Scania vabis

I am doing a service for a farmer on this truck.
Are there someone working on old trucks?
Problem to find a turbo filter. It is a Scania vabis modell L76 1965 motor is DS11. Maybe better to rebuilt it to spinn on type filter. Goran

It was a long shot. Any pictures of the 1966 Malibu.
One of my favorite car. Bought the first one 1975. Goran

Have you tried typing the above quote into a search engine? If an internet search doesn't find you the part you need, try making contact with other people who work on them. You may be able to find another forum that specializes in these trucks, they might be able to point you to what you're looking for.

I work on all kinds of obsolete, and sometimes bizarre stuff - Google is a big help! Like when trying to find vacuum tubes for a REALLY old DC motor variable speed drive....

Hi. Yes i have found a forum for vintage trucks, will put in a
question on there. The filter number is: Scania vabis 150354.
Mann H815a is similar but 7mm to short. Thanks Goran

 

Glad you found a related forum for this issue. I'd bet there may not be a single one of those trucks in the US, probably were not exported to the states. A vintage truck forum should be of much greater help. Good luck.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if you would be ok with a slightly shorter filter.

 

Hace you tried a SAAB dealer? Over here Scania marine engines (boats) are marketed by SAAB Scania.

 

I worked on quite a few of them years ago.. is it a 465 or 475 series?

Diesel filters i found at a volkswagen dealer.
When i found my note, i will tell what serie.
The Scania Vabis will not be used before next summer. Thanks Goran
